Bülent Eczacıbaşı is Chairman of Eczacıbaşı Holding, a prominent Turkish
industrial group with investments in pharmaceuticals, personal care
products, consumer products, building products and financial services.
Over the years, Mr Eczacıbaşı has been involved in a large number of
civic associations, including TÜSIAD where he served as the Chairman of
the Board and Chairman of the High Advisory Council and continues to
serve as the Honorary Chairman. He was the founding Chairman of the
Turkish Economic and Social Studies Foundation (TESEV) and is presently a
member of the High Advisory Board. He is also the Chairman of the
Board of Trustees of the Istanbul Modern Art Foundation and a member of
the International Advisory Boards of the Harvard Kennedy School and
Akbank, and also member of the European Round Table of Industrialists
(ERT). Bülent Eczacıbaşı graduated from Imperial College of Science and
Technology and obtained his master’s degree in chemical engineering from
Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
