Zekeriya Yildirim is the President and Managing Partner of
Yildirim Consulting. The firm has been providing advisory services to
leading Turkish and international companies, in the fields of corporate
finance, management and strategy. He has participations in Ada Plant,
grower of ornamental trees and FU Real Estate Advisory Services. He is
the Chairman of the Managing Board of Ada Plant and a board member at
FU. Since April 2008 he has been serving as a non executive board
member at Doğan Holding.
Before establishing Yildirim Consulting in 1998, Zekeriya Yildirim
served as the Vice Chairman of the Managing Board and as the President
of the Executive Committee of Doğuş Holding. He also held different
board and advisory responsibilities in a number of private sector
groups.
At the beginning of his career he served for nine years in the Ministry
of Finance as an assistant inspector and inspector de finance. He
moved to the Central Bank in 1977 where he specialised in international
finance. He was the Acting Governor when he left the Central Bank in
1987

For 13 years he served as the Co-Chairman of the Turkish-Dutch Business
Council and is currently a member of TUSIAD, the Turkish Industrialists
and Businessmen Association, the Board of Trustees of the Ayhan Sahenk
Foundation and the Board of Trustees of the Education Volunteers
Foundation, the Chairman of Darüssafaka Association and the Editorial
Board of Finans Dünyası.
He is a graduate of Darussafaka High School and holds a BA degree in
Economics from the Istanbul University and an MA degree from Vanderbilt
University, Nashville, Tennessee
