The GRF Young Professionals Program is designed for young professionals who are equipped with the resolve, background, and experience to contribute to the future of Turkey and the world.
Participants of the GRF Young Professionals Program are individuals for whom it is second nature to think comprehensively, to share their opinions with modesty, and to consider the opinions of others with curiosity.
General Framework of the Program
GRF Young Professionals Program is designed to accept applications once a year. It is crucial for the diversity of the group that participants in the program have different educational backgrounds and pursue different career paths. Participants are expected to have worked in a private company, a public institution, or an NGO for at least four years, and to be no older than 38. Each year, a maximum of 2 qualified participants can be selected for the program without meeting the work experience requirement. Please click here for the list of previous participants.
The program is comprised of seven full-day meetings. Workshops are organized every three months, taking place on weekends (Saturday). Every meeting 3 participants make presentations on a topic selected from the list below and the presentations will be followed by a group consultation. Each presentation will be based on a book covering one aspect of that year’s topic.
Following is the list of topics which will be covered in the 2016-2017 term of the Young Professionals Program
• “Technology & Morality”
• “Technology & Security”
• “Technology & Human”
• “Technology & Socioeconomic order”
Each participant is assigned two books on the basis of interest. Participants are expected to read the books, present them and discuss with each other.
Participants who complete the program successfully become members of the GRF Community and will have the opportunity to participate in some of GRF’s activities.
Applications, together with the documents listed below, must be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org within the application deadlines. Documents can be in English or Turkish.
• A cover letter explaining which of the above listed topics the participant would like to bring forward and why (maximum 500 words)
• A letter of intent explaining why the participant would like to attend the program along with the participant’s expectations from the program (maximum 500 words)
• One letter of recommendation
Participation in the GRF Young Professionals Program is possible through personal application or by nomination of GRF corporate members.
Candidates interested in the program can apply by completing the application process detailed above, on condition that they are no older than 38 years of age and have worked in a private company, a public institution, or an NGO for at least four years. A maximum of 2 qualified participants can be selected for the program without meeting the work experience requirement.
The corporate application alternative is only available to the corporate members of GRF. Conditions that apply to personal candidates are also valid for corporate candidates.
Professionals employed by one of our corporate members are eligible to apply personally for the program if they have not been nominated by their company.
The applications are now closed for the 2016-2017 Term.
