On June 16, 2016, GRF organized a panel on “Iran, the Nuclear Agenda and the Region’s Future” at the Divan Istanbul Hotel. Held under the Middle East and North Africa Roundtable Meetings Series, the panel featured three speakers: Dr. Nasser Hadian-Jazy, Professor at the University of Tehran; Prof. Steven E. Miller, Director of the International Security Program at Harvard University Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs and Chair of the Pugwash Executive Committee; and Amb. During the session, the speakers assessed the significance of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) on Iran’s nuclear program and evaluated its implementation process. Elaborating on the factors that might affect the future of the deal and how they can be managed, the speakers then discussed the broader implications of the deal for the region. Following their presentations, the speakers received the comments and questions of the participants.
