Sami Kohen is a veteran of the Turkish press. He has been working at "Milliyet" since 1954, as an expert on Turkish foreign policy and international affairs. For many years he undertook the role of Foreign News Editor and extensively covered major world events. He continues to serve as a columnist at Milliyet.
During the 1970’s and 1980’s, Kohen worked as the correspondent in Turkey of "The Guardian", "The Economist" and "The Christian Science Monitor". Currently he is a correspondent of "Newsweek".
Kohen is a member of the Center of American Studies at Bahçeşehir University.
