GRF Young Scholars Abroad 2011

Following the first part of the GRF Young Scholars Abroad seminar program in June 2011, top undergraduate Turkish students studying at leading universities in the US and Canada who make up the 2011 group met for the second part which took place on December 27-29 at Koç University Istinye Campus. Led by GRF Vice-Chairman and President Mr. Memduh Karakullukçu and GRF Program Director Gözde Küçük, the program also included guest talks by some of our distinguished members; Former Commander of the Turkish Naval Forces Salim Dervişoğlu, Former Rector of Istanbul Technical University (ITU) Gülsün Sağlamer, Ambassador (R) Sönmez Köksal and US Istanbul Consul General Scott Kilner participated and shared their assessments on (respectively) ‘Security’, ‘Higher Education in Turkey’, ‘Diplomacy’, ‘Turkey-USA Relations’. After the submission of their policy papers, 17 students who will have successfully completed seminar program will join the GRF community.
