Track-II studies involve contacts and consultation processes with high-level individuals of another country during which a common approach to bilateral relations and global issues are discussed. The objective in these studies is to carry the official dialogue between the two countries to the level of civil society and to contribute to foreign policy processes and public diplomacy through in-depth exchanges on issues touching upon bilateral relations. The initial aim of Track-II studies is to understand the issues of convergence and divergence between the two countries based on current events. It is assumed that this continued exchange will help lay the foundation for cultivating new thinking, even a new language that can serve as solution to future conflicts.
