Third Meeting
The GRF Young Fellows Program is designed to provide young undergraduate students studying in the most prestigious universities within Turkey and abroad with a platform where they can analyze and discuss global issues in a free, rational and constructive manner. The third meeting of its 2022-2023 term was held on May 10, 2023, at GRF Office.
The session on "Neuropolitics" was moderated by Assoc. Prof. Güneş Ünal, Lecturer at Boğaziçi University Department of Psychology and Director of Behavioral Neuroscience Laboratory. The discussions revolved around the extend to which research in the field of neuroscience can be utilized to understand how individuals’ political preferences and decision-making patterns are formed. The participants exchanged ideas on how this method could evolve in the future, as well as the benefits and risks it could bring.
