GRF Young Scholars Graduation Dinner with

On June 13th, Mr. Michael R. Bloomberg, 108th Mayor of  New York City, was our guest of honour at a dinner which brought GRF members  and GRF Young Scholars together. Mr. Bloomberg answered questions addressed to him by GRF Vice-Chairman and President Mr. Memduh Karakullukçu, on issues related to global and local governance, highlighting social and economic trends and their consequences along with possible policy implications. Following this, Mr. Bloomberg received a wide range of questions from GRF members and Young Scholars.

The dinner also marked the graduation of three groups of students (Young Scholars Abroad 2012, Young Scholars 2013, Young Scholars Abroad 2013) who have successfully completed the GRF Young Scholars and Young Scholars Abroad Seminar Programs. Mr. Karakullukçu delivered a speech on the objectives and long-term aspirations of GRF’s Young Scholar Programs and congratulated the 44 students who received their diplomas and earned the ‘Young Scholar’ title.
