On February 5, 2025, Prof. Fawaz Gerges, Professor of International Relations at the London School of Economics and the Inaugural Director of LSE Middle East Institute (MEI), addressed GRF members at a dinner following GRF’s 17th General Assembly, held at Divan Istanbul Hotel, Elmadağ. Prof. Dr. Gerges, in his speech titled “Global Challenges in a Trump 2.0 World”, shared his insights on shifting global dynamics and how international relations are set to evolve under Donald Trump’s second term as President of the United States. Within this framework, Prof. Gerges discussed potential global risks and challenges that may emerge in the coming period and answered the participants’ questions following his speech.
