On March 11, 2021, Dr. Melsa Ararat, Professor of Corporate Governance and Turkey Director of the Corporate Governance Forum at Sabancı University, addressed GRF and GRF Community members at an online meeting. In her speech entitled "Ossification in Turkey’s Corporate Decision-Making Organs and the Societal Gender Gap", Dr. Ararat examined gender inequality within corporate executive branches, and the consequences of this inequality. Remarking on the societal implications of gender inequality in professional life, Dr. Ararat stated that the policies currently in effect in Turkey to combat this problem have so far remained inefficient, and discussed potential solutions. Following her speech, Dr. Ararat answered the participants’ questions.
