Roundtable Meeting with Prof. Levent Kurnaz

Prof. Dr. Levent Kurnaz, Professor of Physics & Director of Center for Climate Change and Policy Studies at Boğaziçi University, addressed GRF and GRF Community members during a roundtable meeting held as part of the activities of the GRF Task Force themed "The Geopolitics of the Green Transformation and Turkey," on December 10, 2024 at the GRF office. In his talk, titled "The Climate Crisis, COP29, and Humanity: Is It Too Little and Too Late, or Is There Still Time?", Prof. Kurnaz shared his insights and impressions from the 29th United Nations (UN) Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP29), held in Baku, Azerbaijan, from November 11 to 24, 2024, which he attended. Prof. Kurnaz also discussed significant developments that took place behind the scenes of COP29 and offered his perspectives on the future of the fight against the climate crisis. Following his speech, Prof. Kurnaz answered the participants’ questions.
