Roundtable with Prof. Sertaç Hami Başeren

On January 10th, Prof. Sertaç Hami Başeren, Professor of Political Science at Ankara University convened with ‘Turkey’s Approach to Security in the 21st Century’ Task Force and GRF members within the framework of Roundtable Series on “Security”. During his speech, Mr. Başeren gave an overview on the legal aspect of sharing maritime zones in the Eastern Mediterranean Sea, highlighting the current agreements on delimitation of the Exclusive Economic Zone signed between various countries. Following his speech,  Mr. Başeren received questions from GRF members regarding the politicial aspects of the Eastern Mediterranean issue as well as the continental shelf problem in the Aegean Sea.
