Roundtable with Mr. David Gardner,

On March 15, 2016, Financial Times International Affairs Editor Mr. David Gardner addressed GRF members and a group of GRF Community members at a roundtable organized at the Divan Hotel, under the Middle East and North Africa Roundtable Series. In his speech, Mr. Gardner assessed the overall picture in the Middle East, elaborating on the extent to which sectarianism has contributed to instability. He then focused on the necessary steps for reaching a desirable and realistic outcome in the region, and shared his thoughts on what a resilient state structure would resemble under those circumstances. Following his speech, Mr. Gardner received a wide range of questions from the participants.
