CEO of the Institute for Strategic Dialogue (ISD), Ms. Sasha Havlicek convened with GRF Members and a group of GRF Community members on June 26, at a Roundtable on “The Evolution and Implications of the Foreign Fighter Challenge: a European Perspective”. During her speech, Ms. Havlicek first elaborated on the factors behind the surge of ISIS, and then focused on the findings of an ISD program aimed at reaching out to individuals prone to radicalization. She also underscored the necessity of adopting a soft-power approach in countering the ISIS terror, and the importance of non-governmental actors in organizing this endeavor. Following her presentation, Ms. Havlicek received a variety of questions from the participants.
