Prof. Petros Mavroidis, Professor of Law at Columbia University and the European University Institute, and Legal Advisor to the WTO, convened with GRF Members and a group of GRF Community members on June 10th at a roundtable meeting held under the “Global Trade and Turkey in the 21st Century” task force meetings. After elaborating on the reasons behind the failure of the Doha round, Prof. Mavroidis focused on the structural problems marginalizing WTO from world trade regulation and enumerated the conditions for rendering the WTO an efficient actor with continued relevance once again.
Following his speech, Prof. Mavroidis received a wide range of questions from the participants.
