Launch Meetings of GRF Security Task Force Report entitled “Turkey in a Changing Global and Regional Security Environment: Some Observations and Recommendations”

GRF Security Task Force, established with the purpose of assessing numerous interrelated global security challenges and offering policy recommendations to redefine Turkey’s conceptual and institutional security structure, published its consensus report. The report entitled “Turkey in a Changing Global and Regional Environment: Some Observations and Recommendations” was presented to GRF members on March 30th and to the media on April 7th.
During the first meeting on March 30th, following the opening speeches of the Co-Chairs Ambassador (R)
Sönmez Köksal and Admiral (R)
Salim Dervişoğlu; Columnists Aslı Aydıntaşbaş, Fehmi Koru and Murat Yetkin shared their assessments on the report and the broader concept of security. Following the presentations, GRF members shared their comments on the report and addressed questions to the speakers as well as to the Task Force members relating to a wide range of issues covered in the report.
The April 7 meeting and luncheon was held with the participation of the Task Force members and Columnists Cansu Çamlıbel, Cengiz Çandar, Kadri Gürsel,
Sami Kohen and Murat Yetkin. After the Co-Chairs’ brief presentations on the main findings and recommendations of the report, the meeting continued with a Q&A session during lunch.
