UK-Turkey Knowledge Partnership Discussion

On October 4th, the British Council hosted a high level discussion event titled “UK-Turkey Knowledge Partnership” in honour of the visit to Turkey by the Right Honourable Nick Clegg, UK’s Deputy Prime Minister. Following Mr. Clegg’s introduction speech and Q&A where he commented on prospects for collaboration in employment, entrepreneurship, innovation and knowledge-sharing between the UK and Turkey, GRF Vice-Chairman and President Mr. Memduh Karakullukçu moderated a “Question Time” panel around themes of “Employment, Entrepeneurship and Growth”. During the panel, leaders and policy makers from the two countries exchanged views on economic growth, employment as well as skills and competences of young people needed by industry, highlighthing what roles governments, business and education providers should have to boost innovative thinking.
