GRF Task Force on the Future of EU-Turkey Relations was launched upon the premise that the European continent is undergoing an important process of transformation, and will presumably evolve into a different structure in the near future. Based on this assessment, the Task Force will initially analyze the root causes of the demand for change, and evaluate the alternative scenarios put forth for the EU’s future. It will then work to determine how these different scenarios would impact the future of EU-Turkey relations. Through this Task Force, GRF aims to ensure that Turkish policy thinking is well-prepared to designate possible areas of cooperation with a new and evolved Europe.
The first meeting of the Task Force on the Future of EU-Turkey Relations was held on October 3, 2017.
