On March 23, 2021, Dr. Betül Kaçar, Director of NASA Astrobiology Research Center and Assistant Professor of Astrobiology at the University of Arizona, addressed GRF and GRF Community members at an online meeting. In her speech on the origins of life in our planet and their potential roots in other planets, Dr. Kaçar shared with the participants NASA’s recent astrobiology initiatives. Dr Kaçar examined the building blocks of life through the lens of it being a part of a universal whole, and stressed the importance of scientific institutions like NASA in creating a spacefaring future. Following her speech, Dr. Kaçar answered the participants’ questions.
