On November 12, 2019, Ms. Elif Özmenek Çarmıklı, Lecturer at Bahçeşehir University and Migration Expert, addressed GRF and GRF Community members at a roundtable meeting. In her speech on migration management, Ms. Özmenek Çarmıklı examined how the international institutions’ approach to migration management have changed in the last 20 years. Stating that there remains a lack of an effective regulative regime when it comes to migration management, Ms. Özmenek Çarmıklı argued for a rules-based and long-term international structure. Following her speech, Ms. Özmenek Çarmıklı answered the participants’ questions.
