On November 15, 2019, Ret. General Abidin Ünal, Former Commander of the Turkish Air Force, addressed GRF members at a roundtable meeting. In his speech on the benefits of the S-400 systems to Turkey’s air and missile defense, General Ünal examined the reasons for why the S-400 was acquired. Detailing Turkey’s defensive needs, General Ünal stressed the importance of creating a Turkish model regarding defense systems. Following his speech, General Ünal answered the participants’ questions.
