On September 14, 2017, Mr. José Manuel Barroso, President of the European Commission (F); Prime Minister of Portugal (F); Non-Executive Chairman of Goldman Sachs, addressed a small group of GRF members at a working lunch. In his speech, Mr. Barroso noted that the culture of compromise laying at the foundation of the EU is also its most valuable asset in tackling EU’s current crises. Mr. Barroso then emphasized the importance of close cooperation in the Franco-German tandem for the unity and future of the EU. Following his speech, Mr. Manuel Barroso answered the questions of GRF members.
