On November 7, 2019, Sir Dominick Chilcott, Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Turkey, addressed GRF and GRF Community members at a roundtable meeting. In his speech on the UK’s Brexit process and the future of its relationship with Turkey post-Brexit, Sir Dominick examined the areas in which the UK and Turkey could achieve greater cooperation. Emphasizing that there will be a new customs arrangement following Brexit, Sir Dominick stated that he foresees greater bilateral trade relations between the two countries. Sir Dominick also underlined that Brexit could be an opportunity for Turkey and the UK to develop greater security relations and greater harmonization on several foreign policy issues. Following his speech, Sir Dominick answered the participants’ questions.
