On March 31, 2017, Ms. Selin Sayek Böke, the Republican People’s Party (CHP)’s İzmir MP, Deputy Chair and Spokesperson, addressed GRF and GRF Community Members at a working dinner. In her speech, Ms. Böke evaluated the current state of the Turkish economy, stressing that the recent macroeconomic indicators signal economic troubles. She then noted that these could be overcome by making use of Turkey’s potential more effectively. Ms. Böke concluded her speech by highlighting that the referendum should be seen as an opportunity to start building a better future for the country. Following her speech, Ms. Böke answered the participants’ questions.
