On July 6, 2021, Mehmet Gün, Founding Partner of Gün+ Partners Law Firm, addressed GRF and GRF Community members at an online meeting. In his speech entitled "The Future of Jurisdiction in Europe", Mr. Gün examined the disputes between the European Union and Turkey concerning legal reforms, and shared with the participants his firm’s advocacy efforts on the subject. Stressing the importance of an independent judiciary, Mr. Gün stated that this issue has been one of the biggest roadblocks for Turkey’s accession process towards EU membership. Following his speech, Mr. Gün answered the participants’ questions.
