On November 11, 2021, Dr. Beyza Ünal, Deputy Director of the International Security Programme at Chatham House, addressed GRF and GRF Community members at an online meeting. In her speech, Dr. Ünal elaborated on the specifics of the AUKUS security pact between the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia, as well as their political reflections on international relations. Stating that AUKUS is as much a technological project as it is a political and military one in its desire to curb China’s influence, Dr. Ünal touched on the diplomatic fallout between pact members and France. Following her speech, Dr. Ünal answered the participants’ questions.
