On March 5, 2021, Canan Dağdeviren, MIT Media Lab Comformable Decoders Research Group Director and Junior Fellow at the Harvards Society of Fellows, addressed GRF and GRF Community members at an online meeting for GRF’s new ’Internationally Recognized Scientists Roundtable Series’. In her speech, Mrs. Dağdeviren shared with the participants her views on how the developments in materials science will affect humanity and detailed the efforts of her ’Conformable Decoders’ research group. Foreseeing that projects like ingestible sensors and electronic data devices woven into fabrics will revolutionize many industries, Mrs. Dağdeviren examined how Turkey could benefit from such developments. Following her speech, Mrs. Dağdeviren answered the participants’ questions.
