On October 26, 2018, Prof. Erol Taymaz, Professor of Economics at the Middle East Technical University (ODTÜ) addressed GRF members at a roundtable meeting. In his speech, Prof. Taymaz assessed Turkey’s growth performance in comparison to similar developing countries like China, South Korea and India. Prof. Taymaz stressed the importance of education and determining priorities for sectoral investment, and elaborated on potential policies to expedite the structural transformation of industry. Following his speech, Prof. Taymaz answered the participants’ questions.
