On September 14, 2020, Prof. Serhat Ünal, Hacettepe University Head of Department for Infectious Diseases and Clinical Microbiology & Member of the Coronavirus Scientific Board, addressed GRF and GRF Community members at an online meeting. In his speech, Prof. Ünal gave an overall evaluation of the efforts to combat the various health issues created by COVID-19. Stressing that a future pandemic might be even more devastating, Prof. Ünal stated that early diagnostic and tracking systems have to be developed further, with the use of readily-available technology. Following his speech, Prof. Ünal answered the participants’ questions.
