at Chatham House
November 22, 2017
On November 22, 2017, Dr. Bobo Lo, independent analyst and former head of Chatham House’s Russia and Eurasia Programme, addressed GRF members at a roundtable meeting. In his speech, Dr. Bobo Lo argued that Russian- Chinese relations have become stronger than ever, and that the two countries cooperate on various levels. He then noted that these close ties are a result of converging interests rather than shared ideology. Finally, Dr. Bobo Lo elaborated on their divergent perceptions of international and regional issues, and noted that these differences might undermine future cooperation. Following his speech, Dr. Bobo Lo answered the participants’ questions.
